Leisure time

Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and no regrets going in. We were served immediately and treated like honoured guest by the boss. First up, we got 2 items from the grilled section. The grilled pork shoulder and the grilled chicken. The pork was fantastic, slightly charred to bring out its flavour and eating it together with onions and their home made Japanese Thai dip is perfect. The grilled chicken was just normal, meat was tough and slightly dry even though it’s thigh meat. Next up, we ordered the Fukuoka traditional Wagyu stomach soup. The soup base and vegetables were nice but we couldn’t really appreciate the Wagyu stomach, felt like we were eating rubber, very stretchy and springy. If you like this texture and have the teeth to chew then go for it. It’s good nevertheless. For mains, we got the standard Bara Chirashi Don. Quite ordinary, not bad but nothing out of this world. Another item we ordered was the salmon sushi roll (without rice). This one was not good at all. The feel and texture was off, too lumpy and soft and the big chucks of ginger inside took away all the taste of the rest of this dish. Overall still fully satisfied with this standard Japanese meal. No frills and fuss free and importantly nice comfortable chill atmosphere for dinner.

Went for lunch around 15:30 and I enjoyed all service, food is good for the price and staff are very friendly. My order item: 5sushi (bht100 - 180 each) Tofu salad (this can share for two) Tempura (also good portion for two) Yuzu wasabi pork (amazing one) Fried rice (good portion for two) 1 small beer as you see, more than enough for one person and all dishes were delicious 😋 The bill was around THB1560 (approx USD46) note: these dishes could easily share by two. Food and service is good, but i would rate this 4.5/5, although staff is attentive and helpful, i have to wait too long for my dish without informing during order. I order unagi with rice that they need to cook rice from the start, so it took up to 30 mins while i kept asking for 3 times. Taste is good, staff helped me cook and showed me how to eat with soup as well. So for this dish, you can eat 2 ways; one without soup and with soup. I love both taste, giving new kind of experience when eating rice with unagi. During check bill, it took another 5-10 mins for credit card charge and sign.

Small Japanese restaurant tucked away off the main street. I had the chirashi don which was pretty great with a hefty serving of fresh seafood. The accompanying miso was good, if nothing special. It is nice to have fresh wasabi which had a fantastic kick to it. Service was great and it's a nice place to get away from the busier local areas.
